I was born and raised in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. I graduated from the Far East French Private High School in 1974. After high school, I completed a three year nursing program and then practised as an otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) nurse. In 1977, I fled Vietnam by boat and arrived at a refugee camp in Malaysia. I was accepted by Canada and landed in Quebec City in 1978. I met my husband Albert Wong in 1979 and we married the same year. We have a daughter and a son. Later on , Albert & I started to attend the Edmonton West side Alliance church and be baptized together at the church in 1982. During the 2009 Alliance Mission Conference, my husband and I accepted God’s calling to lay down our business and follow God. In 2011, Westwood Alliance Church sent us to China to serve in senior homes, hospitals, marriage and pre-marital counselling. In June 2018, I accepted the invitation of the church to serve as Director of Marriage and Family Ministry for the Mandarin congregation.
